STEP 01
Find Your Fees
Understanding the cost for a particular product or service is a fundamental right of consumers. As a 401(k) consumer, that means you will need to review what is called a 404(a)(5) disclosure. This is commonly referred to as a "participant fee disclosure form" and your retirement plan provider is legally required to provide this to you when you enroll in the plan and annually thereafter.
Usually this disclosure can be found on the website where you log in to view your 401(k) account. If you cannot find it, we have a list of 401(k) providers offering a toll free customer service number to call and request a copy.
If you are having trouble finding it, here is a list of providers who offer a toll free customer service number to call and request a copy.
